Problems with a honey suckle?

i bought a potted honey suckle about one metre high from a garden centre, i repotted it in a larger pot a few days later and every thing was fine. it put on 3 feet of growth with out any problems. but just a few days ago as i was watering it, i noticed a quite few fresh healthy green leaves which the honey suckle had dropped, as i slightly shook the plant more leaves fell off,i also noticed the miniture leaves the plant grew on the old growth when i got the plants, have dried up ,curled, turned yellow and died. what is going on, is my plant dieing, what can i do to stop my honey suckle dropping it's leaves?

Problems with a honey suckle?
I think you answered your own question there. If the new growth has dried up then it is not getting enough water. Be careful though Honeysuckle like water but not too much. Growing anything in a pot is very risky when it comes to watering so as a previous answer suggested planting it out may be best. Try watering it daily with a small amount of water. As suggested remove all the dead leaves so the plant doesn't waste it's energy trying to repair the damage. I honestly think that the plant may die if you don't plant it out and give it a lot of TLC for the next few weeks. When it does start to pick up a little bit then try using a feed on it such as phostrogen but use the time release granules NOT the one you mix with water. Good luck!!

P.S. Check the soil before watering. If it is moist then don't give it any water. If it is dry and the water sits on tp of the soil when you water it then you have allowed it to dry out so give it a little extra each time you water or increase the number of times you water it.
Reply:remove all the leaves that look unhealthy. Give it some extra TLC for a few weeks and hope that it gets better.

Sounds like it has a disease
Reply:has it been in the wind ,it sound like wind chill or to much very hot sun,not been watered and let dry out, or to much water ?
Reply:I would go with the too windy idea, or over watering.
Reply:wind chill i think.it might not like being in a pot try it in ground near fence you want it to climb up.
