'This is an ideal course for those beginning to get interested in the garden. We cover the essentials of gardening. You can attend this course either in the mornings or in the afternoons.
Attendance: Tuesday 9am - 12pm or Thursday 2pm - 5pm'
How many times a week does the centre offer this course?
1
2
3
4?
ENGLISH speakers, please -what is the best answer:?
twice
Reply:The answer is two!! Because the course is offered on Tuesday AND Thursday!!
Reply:I'm a little lost. I don't understand what you numbered up to 4 for, when the classes are only on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Reply:twice
Reply:This course is offered twice a week. You can either attend on
--Tuesdays from 9 in the morning until noon or
--Thursdays from 2 in the afternoon until 5 at night.
Reply:Twice a week!
There is nothing in that sentence to say the same person cannot attend the course both on Tuesday's mornings AND Thursday's afternoons.
Reply:Reading the question I would say 2, you don't state the nature of the dispute between your friend and her tutor ?
Reply:Question is badly phrased. Each student will attend once per week, but there are two options as to the time they can attend. The answer to the question is 2, but whoever set that question could have done better.
The proof is that a few people here got confused. It's not your fault that you didn't understand it.
If you're practicing for IELTS or Cambridge exams, a great thing to do is to tune your radio to Radio 4 and leave it burbling away in the background all day. You'll get much better English than in that exam paper.
Reply:two is the correct answer
Reply:two.
Reply:The question asks how many times the course is OFFERED, not how many times you are expected to attend. The answer is therefore twice a week. You are only expected to attend one of the sessions offered.

Reply:Probably none, as well intended as the course maker may be, it will be poorly marketed, researched and delivered with the creativity of a brick. However, it may count toward the "college" receiving more money next year!
Don't pay the ferryman... :-)

Reply:Are you running an online quiz or something from this question about gardening in a language topic?
Wins prize of the day for most out of place question i guess lol
And i would guess that since it is two days, they would run it two times a week, but you haven't said how long the classes are?
Do they run the full three hours or three courses for one hour each?
Edit:I'd tell you where to go but i don't think it is really worth getting kicked off for so ill just offer the best advice i can give and say stay in Poland.
Don't ask for advice and then criticise what you have been offered, don't like the answers then don't ask questions in a public forum, simple as.
Thanks for the 2 points anyway.
Reply:They offer a course at two(2) different times.
Based on the question, gardening class only allows the student to pick one(1) time. Pick the best time. You will garden on Tuesday morning or garden on Thursday afternoon.
The keyword is or. It's like at the store, paper or plastic? The answer is either paper or plastic. (if you're a sarcastic math-wiz, the answer is "yes" or "no".)
