The scene is gods in a garden, I think that Venus is in the centre, cupid is off to the left...wind blowing in upper right corner, a couple of girls with flowers on their dresses are on the right, and i think there is an apple tree? if i can recall is has earthly in the name...

Reply:The Birth of Venus by Sandro Botticelli?
Reply:Hello there, the only painting that immediately springs to mind is 'The Garden of Earthly Delights' a triptych by Dutch painter Hieronymus Bosch, painted around 1504, though this is based more on you mentioning the word 'earthly' rather than the description.

Bosch was not really a 'pretty' or decorative painter, but dealt with quite pessimistic representations of humankind, in all our violent folly.

Hope that helps anyway...Bobby
