i seriously cant wait for 2010, by then Singapore will be on par with Hong Kong as a tourist mecca...

yes !!! cant wait for that to happen... but there's pros %26amp; cons to it
Reply:All these will increase the standard or living and also the salaries of the Ministers, but not the general workers. IR could also bring more social problems.



By 2010, who know the Prime Minister will be earning S$5 million per annum, and our salary only increase by 5%! What to be excited about?

Reply:Nothing so exciting.

Government will be richer and the citizens become poorer.

cost of living will shoot up higher
Reply:yes, very excited!`but at the same time, very troubled by the hiking housing costs....
Reply:I don't think there is anything to be excited about. Singapore is a very interesting country and their creativity is an excitement in itself.



I have been to Singapore twice, the latest was last December.
Reply:of course it is interesting. but what happens when you dont have the money to enjoy all these? what's the point then?

Reply:its good for the country in general, as it will boost our profile internationally - %26amp; a small country like Singapore needs to be internationally remembered by everyone else in the world in order to survive.

It may increase some costs here %26amp; there but who's to say without all these, the costs won't increase sooner or later anyway?
